Using AI feedback for Japanese homework

Specify context and learned forms, request a reason and verify disputed changes.

Supply task, relationship and target

Provide the task, first response, relationship, target pattern and uncertainty. Ask the model to distinguish a form error, contextual mismatch and another possible wording rather than replace every beginner sentence with an advanced one. Describe a teacher and a friend separately for leave or cancellation requests.

Verify the proposed change

When a model changes a textbook example, request the rule and assumed situation, then check the book. A sentence unsuitable in another setting need not be wrong in its original one. Reduce conflicting answers to a contrast and inspect assumptions; ask an informed teacher when the issue remains unsettled.

Keep an explainable correction

Keep your original response, the changes, how you checked them and a new question or detail for next time. If you do not understand a correction, do not memorise it in a card; try expressing the same meaning with a short pattern you have learned. Share only information needed for the exercise. This describes using AI outside the site, which has no built-in AI marking. A model response is not an official answer key.

Example

Prompt template: The listener is a classmate; I want to change an appointment time using learned beginner forms. My response is … . Explain one needed change and identify a mere style alternative as such.

Check your understanding

Classify one suggestion as form, context or style and identify a verification source.

Explanation

When the reason cannot be verified, retain it as unresolved rather than a mastered new rule.
